Dear Families and Students of Team 6B,
My name is Mrs.
Dennard and I am proud to be the Social Studies teacher on the team. I am looking forward to a fantastic start of the new
school year. Students should be equipped with their 5-subject notebook, two pocket folders, general supplies, and an
enthusiasm for our American history journey.
Our studies will cover the Civil War/Reconstruction through the mid 1990s. As we sojourn through this period of time,
students will see themselves as junior historians aspiring to enhance their organizational skills, note-taking skills, and
critical thinking skills. They will also assess their roles as citizens and members of a global society. As you can
imagine, we have a full array of objectives, essential questions/answers, and concepts to conquer. Finally, I will
update this site periodically. Daily homework assignments are placed at the "Homework Corner" so students can write them in
their assignment books. Project and test due dates will be posted on the Important Dates page of this site. I am looking forward to an exciting and successful year!
